Due to popular demand, we have been able to book the Walthamstow
Assembly Hall for one of the best events of the year. The venue is
simply “THE BEST”. A most wonderful Art Deco building with a vast
sprung floor, extensive bar, huge car parking facilities and a
beautiful fountain at the entrance for all those special photos. The
setting is perfect for a fabulous night of masquerade, dancing, music
and people. A sensational evening with a range of DJs and of course the
now infamous “Dance with a Stranger” competition boasting the title of
“British, European, Commonwealth and World Dance Champion” to the
winners. Prize money of £500. To enter the free competition you
must register by 8.45pm the latest. But we can only take the first 400
entries so do not arrive late. The only rule is you must wear a mask, a
real mask, not make-up.

The course covers all aspects of teaching moves, teaching a class,
setting up and running a venue. Delegates are also prepared for the
LeRoc examination, which is the only professional jive teacher
examination in the UK. It is part of the UKA examinations (UK
Association of Professional Dance Teachers - which also covers
ballroom, stage dancing, highland dancing, etc.).
