2008 Weekenders, Holidays and Competitions

From Tor at tor@rockbottoms.com:

For over ten years now Jump'n'Jive have been running a Jive and Swing summer holiday on the isle of Wight. Beach Boogie as it is known has now come to an end.

Rock Bottoms have the opportunity to kick off a similar week long holiday this summer, but we need to know if there is a demand for it. So we'll give you as much information as we can about what we can offer, and then it's over to you to answer a few simple questions for us.

We have found a fantastic new site, with Log Cabins nestling within the woods right by the sea. Where is this wonderland? I hear you think....believe it or not it's in the Isle of Wight!  Imagine you're getting off the FIshbourne Ferry... look to your right and you'll see a creek heading in from the sea - the site is just around this corner. So a foot passenger crossing will get you over to the camp which is crammed with exciting things to do.

On the site are two fantastic venues for dancing, and a whole host of activities such as Dragon Boats so we can have pirate boat races ON THE SEA! There's a huge dining room big enough for us all to eat in at one time, and be as loud as we possibly can - I foresee many sing-offs and jollies. The dates for your diary would be AUGUST  9TH TO 16TH ...YES THIS YEAR!

So the plan is to run a Jive and a Swing holiday side by side with a full programme of lessons and freestyles for each. It would run Saturday to Saturday, so we'd offer 7 nights of dancing, 6 days of lessons and 7 nights accommodation with full board. And the cost to you lovely people for this paradise holiday: around £370.

We four from Rock Bottoms are very excited about the possible prospect of this venture but all have concerns that we only have a few months to fill it before we have to pay for the full site ourselves!  So before we go to the loan sharks and commit to this exciting venture, we'd like a bit of feedback - and if you could give it by Monday lunchtime that would be fantastic. Please keep your comments brief as hopefully we'll have lots to read through. We've given you a few suggestions below to help you express you opinion.
Please tell us if you are mainly interested in the Jive or Lindy Hop, and let us know if you would be able to help us distribute flyers.

Thank you in advance for answering the above questions for us. We'll let you know in a few days whether or not your answers have persuaded us to leap forward or pull out.
